Backgrounds and illustrations

You can add a background image or illustration to your retrospectives to set the mood, create a little fun, and inspire creativity with the team.

The background for your retro can be added when you customize your retrospective. 

Adding Background Images / Illustrations

1. Navigate to the RETROSPECTIVES tab within a specific team.

   

2. Click on START A RETROSPECTIVE and choose your template.

   

3. Once you select your template, select the TOPICS tab and click on BACKGROUND.

   

You can choose from either:

• ILLUSTRATIONS - for a more community driven approach.
• IMAGES - for a more scenic approach.

• UPLOADS - to upload your own background.

  

4. The opacity of the image can be adjusted, which can be useful depending on if you are in light or dark mode.

5. The background image will appear behind your retrospective ideas but will not be part of the reports and exports.

Adding a background to an existing retrospective

1. Locate the retrospective within your team and open it.

2. Click on the OPTIONS icon on the top left, followed by CUSTOMIZE.

   

   
   

3. Navigate to the TOPICS tab and click on the BACKGROUND icon.

   

   
   
4. Follow the instructions from step 3 above.
