Running an Asynchronous Brainstorming Session

How to run an asynchronous session

1. Open the specific team you wish to run an asynchronous session with.

   

   
   

2. Click on either "RETROSPECTIVES" or "HEALTH CHECKS" tab depending on the type of meeting you want to run.

   

   
   

3. Click on "START RETROSPECTIVE" or "START HEALTH CHECK" and choose from the list of available templates.

   

   
   

4. Once you have chosen your template and provided a title, click on the "PROCESS" tab.

   

   
   

5. Using the drag handle icon

   

   

   click and drag the Brainstorm step to the top of the process list.

   
   

   For Health Checks, click and drag the Survey step to the top of the process list.

   

   
   

6. Start your retrospective or health check and invite your team members to start adding their ideas or responses.

   

   
   

7. Leave the meeting in the "BRAINSTORM" or "SURVEY" step to allow participants to add their ideas or responses in their own time.

   
   
8. Reconvene at a later date to then "DISCUSS" the submissions and continue the session as normal.
