Security and Privacy - OpenAI and ChatGPT

We take security and privacy extremely seriously at TeamRetro. As such, we want to be crystal clear about what information we share. Therefore, we have limited the type of data we provide OpenAI and ChatGPT to power our generative AI features. We do not share any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) or confidential data.

AI Retrospectives Template

In order to generate and use suggested retrospective topics and descriptions, ONLY the following information is shared with OpenAI ChatGPT:

• The prompt for the theme or question (the text you enter)
• Team type (e.g. Development, Product, Marketing...)
• Number of columns selected
• Language

AI Icebreaker Questions

In order to generate and use suggested icebreaker questions, ONLY the following information is shared with OpenAI ChatGPT:

• The prompt for the theme or question (the text you enter)
• Language

AI Health Models

In order to generate and use suggested custom health models, ONLY the following information is shared with OpenAI ChatGPT:

• The prompt for the theme or question (the text you enter)
• Language
• Team type (e.g. Development, Product, Marketing...)

The following AI features are powered by AWS Bedrock. Your retrospective and health check content may be shared for the limited purpose of generating suggestions and summaries:

• AI Suggested Grouping
• AI Suggested Actions
• AI Generated Meeting Summaries
• AI Suggested Meeting Titles
• AI Insights (Team sentiment, keywords and themes)
• AI Usage statistics

The AI Assistant (trAI) is also powered by AWS Bedrock. When you ask it a question, TeamRetro sends your message together with the meeting and team data you can already see, such as ideas, comments, actions and agreements. Inference runs in the AWS region your account is hosted in (United States or European Union). trAI cannot see who wrote an anonymous idea, comment or survey response, and it has no access to the internet or to any system outside TeamRetro.

OpenAI is not a TeamRetro subprocessor. It does not have access to any of your account, user, retrospective, or health check information. The limited information shared is not used to train their machine-learning algorithms.
