The estimation process - ICEBREAKER

An icebreaker is a great way to get the team talking in fun, easy and engaging way. You can create

  • A random icebreaker based on a category
  • An AI generated suggestion based on a theme and prompts
  • A question that you can edit or create

Add an icebreaker


  1. Navigate to your team's ESTIMATIONS tab.


  2. Click START ESTIMATION MEETING.



  1. Click on PROCESS and enable the ICEBREAKER step.



  1. Select the RANDOM dropdown to dig deeper into the customization options. Selecting CUSTOM allows you to create your own icebreaker question once you start the estimations meeting. Alternatively, select from a range of CATEGORIES and LANGUAGES from the drop-down menu, and a random question will be provided to you in that language.



  1. Then START ESTIMATION MEETING or SAVE CHANGES.

  1. The icebreaker will appear as a step. The team names will be populated, and you can add or change them as required. Live reactions and meeting feedback are also available. You can also set a timer.

  1. If you selected CUSTOM, you will be able to add your own question directly into the ICEBREAKER step. When finished, click on SAVE CHANGES (CHECK MARK).

  2. You can also create an AI-generated icebreaker by selecting the AI option.

    You will be prompted to give a theme or prompt. When ready, press ENTER (PURPLE ARROW).

    The AI will give you a variety of icebreaker options to choose from. To confirm your selection, click USE SELECTED QUESTION.


Tips: You can use the icebreaker at any point of the meeting.
